What is Chapter of Excellence?
The Chapter Excellence Program (CEP) is the ultimate pathway to building a thriving SkillsUSA chapter. This program celebrates accomplishments linked to the integration of the SkillsUSA Framework within your chapter's Program of Work (PoW) activities. We strongly encourage every chapter to get involved in the CEP, which offers three award levels to highlight your commitment and participation.

The first two levels are recognized at the state level, while the third level receives national acknowledgment. Each tier serves as a benchmark for success and a stepping stone for future growth, helping chapters strengthen their foundations and better prepare their members for the future. The more your chapter embraces the Framework, the greater your chances of achieving CEP honors. So strive for excellence and earn the recognition your chapter deserves by participating in the CEP!
Award Levels
Level 1: Quality Chapter
This initial level recognizes chapters that meet essential standards of excellence, laying a strong foundation for success.

Level 2: Chapter of Distinction
The second level honors chapters that exceed baseline requirements. Award winners in this category can earn bronze, silver, or gold distinctions, highlighting their commitment to excellence.

Level 3: Models of Excellence
Chapters that receive a gold “Chapter of Distinction” award are eligible for national recognition as Models of Excellence. These outstanding chapters exemplify the highest standards of excellence, and their best practices will be shared with the SkillsUSA community to inspire and strengthen local programs. Eight chapters will be selected to represent each component of the SkillsUSA Framework (Personal, Workplace, and Technical Skills), with one champion named for each category at SkillsUSA’s National Leadership & Skills Conference.
